■ 12/04/09 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Clear Sky How many glitches can a sane gamer take? You often find yourself excusing texture problems or AI inaccuracies, but game breaking bugs are often the final straw. That would have been the case for the original STALKER if it wasn’t for its superb sense of atmosphere. Alone in the Zone, (the aftermath area affected by the Chernobyl disaster) PC gamers were treated to a harrowing look into what was easily possible. The original game might have been a tad unfinished and it definitely required the series of patches it got, but many overlooked its technical shortfalls as a minor annoyance. Its lengthy development time was soon forgotten as you lost yourself in a living-breathing world. This was a birth of a new IP. Test de S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Clear Sky sur PC, chez Strategy Informer.
■ 10/03/09 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

■ 01/03/09 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Clear Sky It would be easy to feel cheated. You play a game called "Stalker", and there's not a single celebrity in sight... Then you remember that the game is actually called "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." and that it isn't about violating a restraining order and tailing A-list movie stars down Hollywood Boulevard in the Californian sun, but instead there's some nonsense about a reverse-engineered acronym and you're spending your time hunting alien artefacts and trying not to be eaten by mutants in a Ukrainian thunderstorm. ■ 29/10/08 - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. : Clear Sky Contrary to my initial skepticism about S.T.A.L.K.E.R (the original), the game turned out pretty good, regardless of repeated delays, halts in production and other hindrances during its development cycle. There were a few issues, which I hoped to see removed in the add-on STALKER: Clear Sky. Also, with the spiced-up visuals and promises of more content, I became more optimistic.

Sure, BioShock's Rapture had incredible architecture and a killer soundtrack, but it was more a system of artfully-decorated tubes than a world.
